Mr. Barry was kind enough to do an interview with me for my site, i had a blast asking the questions and reading the answers special thanks to him!
Q: What is your favorite part about reinventing Scooby-Doo?
A: Building the Character's personalities and watching them become fully dimensional, evolving, funny human beings.
Q: What is your favorite past Scooby-Doo series?
A: The original series will always be my favorite, though I loved the next guest star years as a kid, too.
Q: What is your creative process when it comes to writing for Be Cool Scooby-Doo?
A: Once i have a structure, it's getting the characters up on the page so they start talking to each other. They take over from there.
Q: How long does it take you to write an episode?
A: I've done it everywhere between one day and five weeks. Somewhere in the middle is typical.
Q: What takes the most time in producing Be Cool Scooby-Doo?
A: There are so many moving parts in an animated show. Getting all the parts in harmony, which creates the show's "voice", took the longest.
Q: How did you get into animation/writing?
A: Dan Povenmire saw a stage show i wrote (Play Things) and gave me a shot writing on his new show "Phineas and Ferb". The rest is a blur.
Q: What are some other series you are currently watching?
A: I don't have time to watch much. I liked "Hellblazer" so i binge watched "Constantine" to check it out. Better than the Keanu movie.
Q: I myself am super excited for Be Cool, i am happy it's a new refreshed incarnation, What caused the series to be so different?
A: I've been asked this a lot. It's an odd question. Different from what? Scooby has changed constantly over 45 years.
We wanted to make a more comedic, character driven Scooby and changed what needed to be changed to make it work for us.
Q: Is it hard making the series, due to the high expectations of some Scooby fans?
A: It's not hard due to fan expectation, it's hard to do ANYTHING really well.
Q: Any homages to past Scooby series, or just a fresh new slate in it's own universe?
A: We went back to those five characters driving around in a van solving mysteries. Classic Scooby with a totally new, original tone.
Q: I know all of us Scooby fans are very excited for the new series! Any clues to when it airs?
A: I can't just tell you ''clues". That's cheating in mystery solving!
I just want to thank JCB for his time, and good luck on Be Cool Scooby-Doo!

Here is the trailer for the new movie "Scooby-Doo! and Kiss-Rock n' Roll Mystery". You can get the film on Digital HD on July 10, 2015, and on DVD on July 21, 2015! I'm really interested to see how they do this film. I'm not a fan of Kiss, but i'll still watch it.
